Godsend JP is an avid fan of the PBA Purefoods team. It has been our long-time dream of watching their game live here in Cebu together. As slim as the chance might be of it coming true, it happened.
PBA teams came here in Cebu for an exhibition game wherein charitable institutions benefited from the proceeds. Last September 14 marked the encounter of Purefoods Chunkee Giants with the M. Lhuillier Kwarta Padala-Cebu City Niños.
The Cebu Coliseum was jam-packed with people when we arrived there just minutes before the game. We had a bit of difficulty finding a nice spot for most of the seats were already taken. But nonetheless, since Godsend JP got ring-side tickets for us, we were as close as we could be to viewing the game clearly. Before the game started, we were able to take pictures with Alvin Patrimonio (Godsend JP's idol ever since he was a kid) and Rey Evangelista. It was both an exciting and shocking moment at the same time for I didn't expect how tall those guys are that I felt like a midget that time. :)
Overall, the game was exciting, thrilling and fulfilling. We had a great time watching it and I assume we experienced the same joy that those Purefoods guys must have felt when they won the game. It was a perfect night full of cheers and thrills.
